When I was young, Sunday was the Lord’s day. It was not intended to be a day of work and most businesses were closed on Sunday.
Over the years, stores felt compelled to remain open in order to face new competitors who were drawing their customers. Sunday has become a big shopping day because the pace of life has accelerated and people need to shop on their day off.
So, what happened to “The Lord’s day?”
Do you take time out on a regular basis to be thankful?
After 77 years of life, I am always amazed at the many mysteries of life I see all around me!
I recommend thankfulness.
