- What is the quality of your relationship with your direct report?
- Do you need attain a certain skill in order to be promoted?
- Does your company have some weakness that you could repair and get noticed?
Just doing your job is not enough for the company to single you out for promotion. Look for an opportunity to do something beyond what is expected of you.
