No Where To Go!

Saul, 4, wipes the tears of his father Franklin Pajaro on October 17 after they were expelled from the US and sent back to Mexico under Title 42. Officials say thousands of Venezuelan migrants have been expelled to Mexico since the Biden administration expanded its use of the policy.

A Venezuelan father’s eyes well up with tears, and his 4-year-old son tries to wipe them away.

The photo – taken in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, this week by a Reuters photographer shows a man identified as Franklin Pajaro who’d just been expelled from the United States.

And there’s more to the story beyond that powerful moment.

Pajaro is one of thousands of Venezuelans kicked out of the United States as part of a new deal the Biden administration brokered with Mexican authorities.

Why focus on Venezuelan migrants?

Officials say the number of Venezuelans attempting to cross the border has spiked dramatically, nearly quadrupling in the past year. (CNN)

Violence and governmental corruption are driving these refugees north to the “Promised Land.”

But, the “Promised Land” has closed its door to Venezuelans.

The father in the photo above has lost all hope for a better life.

Despair is a terrible thing and it defines the lives of millions of people everywhere.
