Grief Is LOVE Persevering!

I will always love MOM & DAD!

Our two parents, working together to raise and educate their six children, raised the bar on marriage and parenthood.

Mom was a graduate of the University of Chicago.

Dad was a graduate of Notre Dame.

He went on to obtain a masters degree in Biology and taught at ND for 21 years.

Aside from their academic accomplishments, they were good human beings!

They practiced honesty and respect of others.

Our grandfather owned a hardware store in a small town in Southern Ohio.

We would visit them each summer.

The last time we made the trip, grandpa was dying and dad cried.

He knew he would not see his father alive again.

My mom’s mom was a widow who lived into her nineties.

Grandma was an Irish immigrant who lived a hard life.

In all the years I lived at home, I never heard our parents argue, even once.

Grief is LOVE persevering!
