Will You Endure The Indignities of Old Age With Humor?

John Lithgow on The Old Man, playing Winston Churchill and his poetry | Radio Times

(John Lithgow, The actor who played Winston Churchill)

I’m 82 now.

If I didn’t attend doctor appointments, I don’t know how I would entertain myself.

The two places you find a preponderance of old people are hospitals and churches.

They are trying to take care of the HERE & the HEREAFTER!

I love to make people laugh.

I’m married to the most wonderful woman in the world.

When I tell her something that is supposed to make her laugh, however, she gets a puzzled look on her face, and asks was that a joke?

I think maybe I should announce a joke in advance in order to give her fair warning.

I went to my high school class reunion a few years ago.

It featured a bunch of old men sitting around a table with nothing to say.

Don’t do that! Not now! Not ever!
