
This is the concern I have about the money in college sports.
Having lost to Michigan, Ohio State built a war chest to attract and keep great football players.
Notre Dame also brought in QB Riley Leonard who guided ND to the winningest year in history.
There is currently no limit on the money colleges can pay their athletes.
So, the big schools outspend the smaller ones.
The better athletes conduct a bidding war between schools to decide where they’ll go.
School loyalty goes out the window.
Many athletes remain at a school for two years and then move on for more money.
It’s not right!
