You may respond by saying that you can’t afford to leave your present job and do what you’d love to do.
Could you get a parttime job in your preferred occupation?
This suggestion may enable you to gain an expertise in the job you’d love.
And after getting the credentials you need, move into the job you want.
I’m not offering an easy solution, but it may be possible.
