Courage Is Being Afraid But Doing It Anyway!

It’s just that simple.

Easy to say, but hard to do.

It is an interesting dilemma.

You really have an objective you’d like to accomplish.

But, all you can think about is the downside.

“What will it be like if I fail?”

“Can I accept the consequences?”

“What will people say?”

Now, ask yourself how you’ll feel if you DO IT anyway.

Let me tell you something from my own experience.

IT IS BETTER TO HAVE TRIED AND FAILED THAN TO HAVE NEVER TRIED AT ALL!

If you overcome your fear and DO IT anyway, you won’t ever have to ask “WHAT IF?”

Not today! Not any day!

Celebrate You!

Poetry On Odyssey: The Happiest Man

Why not?

There is only one of YOU in this whole, wide world.

And you are worth celebrating.

I think effort is more important than accomplishment!

Why do I say that?

Because the satisfaction from doing your best is everything.

You are always doing and learning through successes and failures.

And this process of constant learning makes you a better person.

Take the time to make an honest list of all your best qualities. You may be surprised at how long it is!

You have many reasons to like yourself and that’s worth celebrating!

If not today, when?

“It’s NOT easy to fall in love.”

Today many single people complain that it is very difficult to meet potential mates.

When you are in school, there are many opportunities to meet people.

But, after that, you are mostly on your own.

It seems today that dating sites are commonly used by singles of all ages.

What a lot of people don’t realize is that a mate doesn’t generally show up on your doorstep!

You have to be active.

Join clubs or community activities that have social or sports teams.

Seek out a place of worship that has a singles group.

Join an organization that supports a cause you believe in.

If your employer has after work events, join in.

But, above all, be a person someone would like to spend time with.

Be upbeat (even if you have to fake it.)

Be positive, be “put together” nicely in your dress.

And, above all, SMILE a lot!

How Much Of Your Life Will You Spend To Succeed?

Striving for excellence ⋆ The Teenager Today

In order to answer that question, you must first decide how you would define success.

You only have a certain number of days to live.

What seems like a reasonable amount of days to expend in pursuit of your goal?

Are you willing to devote the emotional, mental and physical energy needed?

Do you have a plan that is well thought out?

Can you execute the plan yourself or do you need help?

After expending a considerable effort, do you still believe the goal is reachable?

If you have to go in another direction, you should have no regrets because you went for it.

If you succeed, you learned a lot about yourself!

Will You Put Back What You Took Out?

30 Ways to Give Back to Your Community

It is an important question.

And it isn’t asking about some isolated incident.

No, it is referring to a lifetime of looking out for those less fortunate.

It is always a better feeling to GIVE rather than RECEIVE!

There are hundreds of millions of people who will not have enough to eat today.

Millions more are insufficiently clothed and sheltered.

And, as hard as it is to believe, many of these people live a few miles from you.

You just don’t see them because you’re not looking for them.

When many of us see the poor, our first instinct is to think they are LAZY.

That’s because we really know nothing about their lives and circumstances.

Will you put back what you took out?

If not today, when?

Health Is Everything!

Do you agree?

There are very wealthy people who have access to the world’s best doctors, but they have very poor health.

Wealth is not a suitable substitute for good health.

No single object such as a fancy car, a huge house, closets full of clothing can replace good health.

Fame is not a suitable substitute.

There is nothing in this world that is a substitute for good health.

Do you appreciate your good health and that of your family?

Make it a priority to celebrate your good health and be thankful for it.

Also make it a priority to maintain your health by protecting it and working to keep it.

AI Steals Identity!

Author Jane Friedman found several new books being sold under her name on Amazon, only she didn't write them — she suspects artificial intelligence did. Amazon removed the books after she alerted the company to the issue.

An author is raising alarms this week after she found new books being sold on Amazon under her name.

Only, she didn’t write them.

They appear to have been generated by artificial intelligence.

Jane Friedman, who has authored multiple books, told CNN that an eagle-eyed reader looking for more of her work bought one of the fake titles on Amazon.

The books had titles similar to the subjects she typically writes about, but the text read as if someone had used a generative AI model to imitate her style.

I’m certain we’ll see more of this.

Life Is Not Linear!

100+ Winding Road Pictures [HD] | Download Free Images on ...

Nobody lives a life wherein every day is predictable.

No, like the photo above, we don’t know what lies around the next curve in the road.

Sometimes, tomorrow brings NO NEWS.

My wife always thanks God for a “NO NEWS” day.

Sometimes, tomorrow brings GOOD NEWS.

Sometimes, tomorrow brings BAD NEWS.

If we are capable of it, we shouldn’t get too high with GOOD NEWS nor too low with BAD NEWS.

Easy to say, but hard to do!

And so, we live on a winding road throughout our existence here.

The lesson for all us is to be grateful for the HIGHS and learn from the LOWS.

The Male Ego!

The male ego is a problem.

Mr. Putin has brought misery and death to hundreds of thousands of people all in an attempt to satisfy his ego.

Many decisions in matters very diverse can only be explained by considering the role of the male ego.

This is not to say that women don’t also have an ego.

My observation over many years, however, is that women are more focused on results when making decisions rather than being driven by ego satisfaction.

Consequently, I’d like to see more women in leadership positions.

Defeat Is A Signal To Press Onward!

(Helen Keller)

Helen Keller, who became blind and deaf as a result of a childhood illness, learned to communicate with hearing people by having signals pressed into her palm, reading lips by way of touch, reading and writing Braille, and eventually speaking audibly.

She lived to the age of 87.

Despite her infirmities, she wrote a book entitled, “The Story Of My Life” which was followed by,

“Resting Place.”

When I learn of people like her, who experience lifelong suffering, I am so humbled.

How can I possibly become upset with the trivial frustrations of my life compared to hers?

There are so many true heroes in this world.

And Helen Keller is one of them!
