Moving On After Failure!

Moving Forward After Experiencing Failure

If you haven’t failed at anything, you haven’t taken enough risks.

Remember, the good fruit is at the end of the branch!

I have succeeded and failed.

Succeeding is much more fun!

Failure can be a bitter pill.

Don’t allow yourself to become bitter.

At least you tried it.

Most people regret that they never tried it.

You’re still alive.

Use the lessons learned and MOVE ON!

How Important Is Telling The TRUTH?

When did we go off the tracks?

Is it too late to grow a generation of truth tellers?

Do you always tell the truth?

I believe there is a DIRECT linkage between truth and trust.

There is also a DIRECT linkage between telling the truth and a high sense of self-esteem.

A person with high self-esteem will also be self-confident.

So, you see, it all begins with telling the truth.

And that’s EVERYTHING!

Priority: Your Health?

You can’t bring the best of you to each day if you’re in poor health!

These stressful times demand better.

Some people overdue it with too much exercise.

Most of us, however, don’t exercise at all.

Which category are you in?

If you don’t take care of your body, it can’t take care of you.

Isn’t it about time you make your health your #1 priority?

Do You Appreciate What You Have?

We are all aware of what we don’t have.

But, do we put enough emphasis on our blessings?

In order to get a dose of reality, we just have to watch the evening news.

In a recent interview, Dr. Jane Goodall said we are living through DARK TIMES!

Well, we can “Let the sunshine in” by being more appreciative of people and our blessings.

If we have friends who are struggling, we can help bring sunshine to them.

Just smiling at strangers may bring a bit of sunshine to their day.

Will You Leave The World A Better Place?

It’s not difficult if compassion is or will become one of the traits that define you.

If so, you will find simple things you can do to lighten the load of those you know and those you don’t know.

The photo in today’s blog shows a volunteer helping a child learn to read.

Because of our aging population, millions of older people are lonely.

They are living in assisted living facilities near your home.

Let’s also not ignore your family members who need more of your time.

It Takes Guts…!

To always tell the TRUTH! It seems that liars outnumber the TRUTH tellers these days. A new word has been added to our vocabulary. That word is misinformation.

To put your beliefs into ACTION! Are you a doer or just a talker? Like the old saying goes: Actions speak louder than words!

To keep your PROMISES! Yes, there will be times in your life when it takes guts to do what you say you’re going to do. Especially promises made to your spouse and your children.

To APOLOGIZE when you know you are the guilty party! It is very difficult to humble yourself when making an apology. Many wrong doers try to lie their way out of it!

To overcome YOUR FEARS! Don’t let your fears dominate your life. You must face your fears head on. The greatest liberating act you can experience is when your fears are no more.

The 75 Foot, 11 Ton Christmas Tree Arrives In Rockefeller Center!

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree was hoisted aloft at its new home in Manhattan on Saturday, marking the start of New York City’s holiday season.

This year’s tree is a 75-foot-tall Norway spruce from the upstate town of East Greenbush, a suburb of Albany.

After being cut down this week, it made the roughly 150-mile journey south on a flatbed truck, drawing curious onlookers along the way.

The crowds were much bigger at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, where workers used cranes to hoist the 11-ton tree into position overlooking the iconic skating rink.

The tree will soon be decorated with more than 50,000 multicolored, energy-efficient LED lights and crowned with a Swarovski star weighing 900 pounds.

It will be lit December 3 during a live TV broadcast hosted by country music star Reba McEntire and remain on display until mid-January.
