The Earth’s Core Is Leaking Gold!

Although more than 99.95% of Earth's gold is locked in the molten core, tiny amounts may be coming up to the surface in magma, a study found. A lava fountain at Kilauea in Hawaii is seen in early May.

Scientists already knew that most of the gold on the planet — more than 99.95%, lies hidden in the molten core, along with other heavy elements such as platinum.

As meteorites bombarded one another in Earth’s early history, a reservoir of these precious metals developed when the core formed about 4.5 billion years ago.

But this study suggests that at least a tiny amount of that gold has escaped to the surface, raising the fascinating prospect that, if the leaking continues, more and more of this precious metal could travel from the center of Earth to the crust in the future.

“Our findings not only show that the Earth’s core is not as isolated as previously assumed.

We can now also prove that huge volumes of super-heated mantle material — several hundreds of quadrillion metric tonnes of rock — originate at the core-mantle boundary and rise to the Earth’s surface to form ocean islands like Hawaii.” (CNN)

The Joy Of Watching Something Grow!

Some people have growth charts in their kids’ bedrooms to measure their progress occasionally.

You can easily share that joy with one simple plant.

All you need is a pot or even an old can, some dirt from around your yard and a couple seeds.

Two things that are fun to watch are bean seeds or sunflower seeds.

Just plant 2 or three of them about 1-1/2 inches deep and add a little water.

Put the seeds in a sunny spot and add water every couple days.

You will soon see a green sprout poking out!

You will be amazed at how quickly your baby sprouts grow.

You may end up with a bean plant or a sunflower depending on how much sun you provide.

It’s a “mini miracle” to see what can happen with so little effort!

You’ll find yourself smiling at the audacity of a humble seed.

A Matter Of Timing?

People In Business Suits Hurry Up And ...

One of you “likes to arrive early.”

And the other “likes to arrive just in time.”

We call this MARRIAGE!

They say opposites attract.

And, it seems to be true.

But, there’s a price to pay for this attraction!

The one who likes to “arrive early” is an aggravation to the “just in time.”

And waiting for the “just in time” can be aggravating to the “arrive early.”

And so round and round it goes.

How to fix it, nobody knows.

Do You Still Celebrate?

Birthdays?

Anniversaries?

If not, you must take time to celebrate.

Do you know how many years you’ve been married?

My younger sister and her husband just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Of course they have faced many challenges along the way.

And that’s all the more reason to celebrate.

Maybe some friend or loved one has recovered from a serious illness.

And that’s all the more reason to celebrate.

Maybe someone had a recent promotion in their career.

And that’s all the more reason to celebrate.

Surely, you have some reason to CELEBRATE!

The Medical Profession And An Aging Population?

Elderly Doctor Images - Free Download on Freepik

It is taking longer and longer to see a doctor.

It is at least a month and maybe two or three.

These wait times are the direct result of the increasing number of older patients.

It’s not that hospitals aren’t responding.

They are all building new facilities and adding staff.

And the doctors are getting older too.

Because of the increasing workload, more doctors are retiring.

Their retirement takes with them much expertise.

There are more and more PA’s trying to fill the gap at walk-in centers and medical offices.

It is a difficult situation for all.

You’ll Never Know If You Don’t Try!

A Spaniard had never won the Indy 500 before.

Alex Palou, a 28 year old Spaniard, had never raced on an oval track before.

But, he thought he’d try!

He passed another car late in the race and won!

Now, let’s talk about you.

Do you have some unfulfilled dream that is nothing more than a dream?

What is holding you back?

Do you want to live out your life never having tried?

Are you too old or too afraid to try?

How could an inexperienced oval race track driver win the 2025 Indy 500?

He tried.

How about you?

Visitors Are Stealing The Cobblestones!

The very ground beneath your feet: Tourists have been taking Bruges' cobblestones with them and locals aren't happy.

Belgium’s picturesque city of Bruges has issued a request that tourists stop stealing cobblestones from its UNESCO-recognized medieval streets.

Local politician Franky Demon says an estimated 50 to 70 cobblestones disappear per month — even more during peak season.

And it costs 200 euros (about $225) per square meter to replace them and fix the damage.

“While some may see this as harmless or quirky, the consequences are serious,” Demon told CNN.

“The removal of cobblestones poses a clear safety risk to both residents and visitors. Missing or loosened stones create tripping hazards, and city workers must frequently be dispatched to carry out repairs.”

It is a lack of respect for our shared heritage,” he said.

We simply ask for respect. (CNN)

Try Telling The Truth

Telling the truth is always the right thing to do.

If you lie, people won’t respect you.

If you tell the truth, people will respect you for your honesty,

This is an especially important rule to teach your children.

This means that you must be a “truth teller” in order for them to follow your lead.

The role of a parent must be leadership.

Leaders lead by example.

There is too much misinformation going around.

If you are in a close relationship with somone, you can NEVER lie.

All important relationships must have TRUST as their foundation.

Trust is the direct result of telling the truth!

Baseball Is For Families! Bark At The Park!

I’m a big sports fan, primarily baseball and football.

I must admit, however, that I love to see families with their dog at the ballpark!

The other professional sports seem to be for adults.

Baseball has been referred to as “America’s Pastime.”

Unlike other sports, the outcome is quite unpredictable.

A team can be behind by three runs in the 9th inning.

And still win the game with one swing of the bat.

It’s called a “walk off home run.”

Take me out to the ball game.

Take me out to the crowds.

Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks, etc.

Marriage & Money? Who Decides?

If you’re taking a marriage counseling course, the first question may be:

After you are married, how will you spend $500?

As you might imagine, each person has a very different answer.

And those answers could be a prelude to “coming attractions” once the marriage is underway.

Money is a great conversation starter.

The interesting thing about a purchasing decision is that each person puts a different value on what item to be purchased.

And therein lies the rub.

I think you’ll agree that opposites attract.

One person may be a risk taker.

The other not so much. Therein lies another rub.

And on it goes.

The best way to reach a meeting of the minds is open and honest dialogue!
