Wearing Socks At Night May Improve Your Sleep!

Keeping those toes toasty can help regulate your core body temperature for more restful sleep, experts say.

Want to improve your chances for a good night’s sleep?

This idea could actually knock your socks ON, says behavioral sleep disorders specialist Michelle Drerup.

“It sounds counterintuitive, I know, but by wearing socks to bed and warming your feet, you may actually lower your core body temperature and fall asleep faster,” said Drerup.

Here’s how that happens.

“By making your feet warmer, you’re opening up blood vessels to help cool down the rest of the body,” Drerup said.

“So increasing the blood circulation to your feet results in a lower core temperature.” (CNN)

I hope this helps!

A Baseball Player Thanks The People Of Detroit!

“DEAR DETROIT,

Even though I’m from a small town in Arizona,

we have a lot more in common than you might think.

As I’ve learned more about our city, it’s clear that Detroit has faced

its fair share of adversity,”

It’s nice to see the heroes acknowledge their loyalty over all the lean years.

The “Milan Miracle”!

With March Madness in full swing, I remembered the tiny high school basketball team that won the State Championship in 1954.

Milan high school only had 161 kids enrolled that year.

Unlike most states, Indiana held a single class tournament in which all schools competed for the same championship.

Most small schools would never make it to the championship game.

In the 1954 State Championship game, Milan Edged out Muncie Central for a 32-30 victory.

40,000 people deescended on Milan (population 1,150) the next day to welcome the team home.

That’s why it was called the “Milan Miracle”.

Trouble Sleeping?

I have a simple remedy with no pills!

Take a warm, not hot shower before bed.

Turn the lights out and pray for everyone you know.

Ask God to bless many of the people in your life.

That includes those in need and those you love.

Failure, Helpful?

There is an old saying that says, “We learn from our mistakes..”

But we’re talking about something much larger here.

We’re talking about FAILURE!

We are not talking about a “failed life.” We are talking about something you did that failed.

Your life begins again every day. You can always dream and create again and again.

Just make sure that your ideas do not destroy your ability to support yourself and your family.

You have to know when to pull the plug and recognize that, in that particular project, you may have failed.

Sometimes ego can refuse to admit to failure. That is a big problem. You must be honest in your appraisal of your dream.

Very often you will have to listen to input from others, especially your partner or spouse.

Failure is a teacher. It enriches your knowledge in a particular area.

It may just be a misstep in the wrong direction which you can overcome.

If you don’t allow a failure to teach you a valuable lesson, you’ll carry it around like an anchor.

Will you live each day of your future with regrets or lessons learned?

Make a choice.

If not today, when?

Can You Be A Better You?

Do you want to?

Or, are you satisfied with who and what you are?

I hope not.

Today’s world needs each of us to step up and become a better person!

Where do you start?

Number one is an examination of your values.

How about, honesty, loyalty, fairness, forgiveness, generosity, gratitude, humility?

In which of the above values are you lacking?

Your first priority must be relationships with loved ones.

Your second could be examining the lives of people you admire.

What is it about them that you see as noteworthy?

Imitation is a way to improve yourself with a model chosen by you.

If not today, when?

What Happened To Neighbors?

Neighborhood Photos, Download The BEST Free Neighborhood ...

We used to have neighbors!

They were real live people we knew and considered to be our friends.

Two of our children were born at night.

So, I ran to our neighbor next door to watch our other kids.

It was just assumed that was what neighbors did.

Not today!

We don’t even know our neighbors’ names.

How about your neighborhood?

Sound familiar?

Once, after moving into a new neighborhood, we had a party.

We put an invitation in everyone’s mailbox that read,

“We are your new neighbors. We don’t know you, but we’d like to. Come for brunch!”

Every neighbor came.

Someone has to start it.

Pray For Your Pet?

11 Pose Ideas for Dog and Owner Photo Shoots — Holly ...

Our pets become part of the family.

When your pet is ill do you pray for its recovery?

I don’t think it’s a FAR FETCHED idea.

I have been with family members when they had to put their pet down.

It’s a very traumatic event and there is a real sense of loss.

Many adults, who live alone, have a pet as a their only companion.

I’m sure the loss of their pet is even more traumatic.

So, praying for a sick pet is probably quite common.
