A Daily Victory?

Image of a Man Thinking — LEB

What will be your daily victory today?

Is it any different than yesterday’s?

You can create a good habit of accomplishing something big or small each day.

I call it a “DAILY VICTORY!”

If you adopt the “DAILY VICTORY” idea, you can feel good about yourself at the end of the day.

Start out with a small one so that you can be victorious today!

Can’t Fix Everything?

No, you can’t fix everything!

So, we all need to identify those things we can fix.

And I think our priorities should begin at home.

What are you able to do today to help a loved one?

That’s an excellent priority because it is within your grasp and you can see the result.

If you spend time watching the news, you are reminded of bad things you CAN’T FIX.

But, there are things closer to home and work that you can fix.

I used to be interested in world news, not anymore.

Fix what you can FIX!

Aging With Grace?

Various adjustments become necessary as we become older.

That’s not a news item.

Everyone is aware of activities they could perform in their 30’s that are more difficult in their 50’s.

I think the secret to aging is accepting those things you can still do well and moving away from those you can’t.

My favorite hobby was yacht racing.

It began when my brother and I owned a little wooden sailboat.

We would love to go out when there were small craft warnings because we always had a nice breeze.

We only had one problem with the little wooden sailboat:

There was a hole in its bottom.

So, one of us would sail and one would bail!

After sailing in over 100 yacht races, it was time to move on.

Lucky for me, I love to write.

I was a nationally syndicated columnist and author of 10 books.

My 10th book, THE BOOK OF KINDNESS is looking for a publisher.

I just wrote my1,346th morning blog.

Cheers!

Look At Me, Please!

30 Sly Signs Your Girlfriend Is Texting or Talking to Another Guy Secretly

One person is talking while the other person is texting.

This is very common today.

But, it is not polite and quite annoying, actually.

When in the presence of another person, please look at him or her.

What happened to conversation?

We must be close to loved ones.

Last night, we set up a zoom call with many of our children and their spouses.

We could see distant family members we haven’t seen since Covid.

It was a very uplifting experience because we could all look at the person speaking.

It’s a great way to stay in touch.

500,000 New Jobs in Jan!

A 'help wanted' sign is displayed in a window of a store in Manhattan on December 02, 2022 in New York City.

The experts predicted 185,000 new jobs in January.

Well, there were 500,000 new jobs in January.

This was very surprising because prices fell in January also.

Regardless of how it happened, let’s celebrate new employment for 500,000 of our fellow citizens.

So, I’m giving you GOOD NEWS to wake up to this Sunday morning.

Another reason to be optimistic!

FACE TO FACE?

How often do you talk with loved ones face-to-face?

It used to be the only method of one on one years ago.

In the modern world world, however, it’s become quite rare, if at all.

When we wake up in the morning, we grab our cell phones and begin our day texting or emailing.

But, let’s set the cell phone aside for a moment and look at face to face communication.

If you are in the presence of a loved one. both of you had to make the effort to be there.

When you’re face to face, you can also read body language.

Body language often tells you more than the spoken word.

If you want to talk face to face, cell phones must be turned off.

This sets the stage for a meaningful conversation.

Weekends may be your best opportunity for face to face with loved ones.

Years Fighting Cancer Ends in Victory!

This photo is not the actual person in this amazing story!

Everything I’m about to tell you is true.

While preparing to give birth to her second child, this young woman was told she had Hepatitis C.

This was followed by years of lymphoma.

Many trips back and forth to the hospital year after year.

Yesterday, tests showed she is Cancer Free!

Great rejoicing followed and much gratitude.

There are no guarantees for her future, but she will be thankful for this moment!

Patience Is A Virtue!

If you have a child or children, you can identify with today’s photo.

Of course, there are other relationships that demand patience:

They include a spouse, parents, co-workers and neighbors.

Let’s also not forget patience with people we don’t know.

That includes while driving your car because I’ve noticed some drivers are not as courteous as they should be.

If they are going too fast, move over and let them go by.

Try to practice patience throughout your day.

You will be the biggest beneficiary!

No Fear Like Fear Itself!

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was our president from 1933 to 1945.

He suffered from polio during his presidency and spent much time in a wheelchair.

He had a saying, “There is nothing to fear, but fear itself!”

He led America all through WWII to eventual victory.

I think his wonderful saying applies to each of us.

Live each day to the fullest.

Do what you have to do today with enthusiasm!

At the end of your day, I hope you can look at something meaningful that you accomplished.

And remember, closeness with loved ones comes first.

One Good Deed Today?

Do a Good Deed Daily — doctor-change

Could you perform a GOOD DEED for someone who needs it TODAY?

Maybe a family member.

Maybe a neighbor.

Maybe a fellow employee at your workplace.

There are those moments when we must look beyond ourselves to others.

Saturday or Sunday may provide one of those opportunities.

Actually, everyone you know is struggling with something.

Just pick one and do something that can lift someone up.

If you help someone else today, it also elevates your own sense of self esteem.
