But, an important one.

I have had some successes.

In all honesty, I know I did not accomplish them alone

There were other people involved.

And there was very fortunate timing.

So, the operative word for me must be GRATEFUL!

I also believe PROUD is a very dangerous word.

If I look at the sequence of events that lead to some successes, it is obvious they were not of my doing.

Thank you God!

It would be a helpful exercise for each of us to review the events of our lives.

And put each one in the PROUD or GRATEFUL column.

YOUR PERSONAL HEALTH-This category makes everything else possible. Do you keep doctor appointments? Do your exercise regularly? Do you eat and drink responsibly? 

PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS-This is a wide category that covers spouse, children, parents, friends and co-workers. Good relationships keep doors open to a better future. You must keep those open for your own happiness and peace of mind.

Because of too much misinformation, parents must keep in touch with their children.

Swallow your pride and try to get back to your roots. Whatever happened in the past is long gone. It may take a great weight off your mind.

I’m not going to suggest a particular activity.

I do know that taking some time each day just for you is very healthy.

Hopefully, it is something you look forward to.

We all have obligations to other people in our life.

You also have obligations to yourself.

My mother used to play the piano in the late afternoon each day.

She dealt with all the responsibilities of a mother of six children.

But, when she sat down to the piano, we all knew it was mom’s time.

Be good to yourself with a daily activity of your choosing.

There’s a big differance.

One requires effort. One does not!

One requires courage. One does not.

One requires self discipline. One does not.

One requires a willingness to take a risk. One does not.
