What You Might Have Been!

It’s an interesting possibility.

Certainly not for everyone.

But, it could be true for you!

With AI coming on stream as a source, it might be the right time to do what you would much rather be doing.

And maybe you have become much more savvy in the ways of the business world.

This new knowledge may give you the confidence necessary to consider a change.

At least you can do some homework to understand the obstacles you’d have to overcome.

Would your family be open to the idea?

If not, that is something that deserves serious consideration.

A change may require further schooling.

Perhaps a part time job in your chosen field could offer further insights.

If not today, when?

Where Do You Live? Yesterday, Tomorrow Or Today?

It’s an important question that each of us must answer.

YESTERDAY-What happened in all your yesterdays is gone.

Oh, maybe they might serve as a source of joy or regret.

And they could remind you of certain mistakes you shouldn’t repeat.

But, good or bad, they are gone forever!

TOMORROW-I think we occupy our conscious thought with dreams of what tomorrow will bring.

About the good and the bad.

We’re are often wrong.

Tomorrow RARELY COMES as we thought it would.

TODAY-We know Yesterday is gone forever and Tomorrow never comes as we worried it would.

So, the only thing that’s real is TODAY!

I say that because you can do something about TODAY and its outcome.

You can really LIVE IT!

However, if you’re distracted with Yesterday and Tomorrow, you’ll waste the opportunities of TODAY!

Do You Allow Worry to Affect Your Sense Of Peace?

If you’re like many people, the answer is yes.

Definition: (Worry)- ALLOW one’s mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles.

The key word here is ALLOW.

We ALLOW our mind to entertain worry and we push our “peace of mind” aside.

So, because we are creatures of our habits, we give ourselves permission to worry.

You are ALLOWING worry to remove any chance of peace.

You deserve better than that!

If you can solve something that worries you, fix it.

If you can’t solve something, don’t ALLOW your mind to worry about it!

If not today, when?

Will You Endure The Indignities of Old Age With Humor?

John Lithgow on The Old Man, playing Winston Churchill and his poetry | Radio Times

(John Lithgow, The actor who played Winston Churchill)

I’m 82 now.

If I didn’t attend doctor appointments, I don’t know how I would entertain myself.

The two places you find a preponderance of old people are hospitals and churches.

They are trying to take care of the HERE & the HEREAFTER!

I love to make people laugh.

I’m married to the most wonderful woman in the world.

When I tell her something that is supposed to make her laugh, however, she gets a puzzled look on her face, and asks was that a joke?

I think maybe I should announce a joke in advance in order to give her fair warning.

I went to my high school class reunion a few years ago.

It featured a bunch of old men sitting around a table with nothing to say.

Don’t do that! Not now! Not ever!

Free Goats If You Can Catch Them!

The tiny, remote Italian island of Alicudi is home to only around 100 residents and, ideally, about 100 wild goats.

This year, however, the ratio of humans to animals has become wildly unbalanced.

The goats have reproduced at an astonishing rate.

The island has been overrun by six times its desired number of goat inhabitants and has more of the animals per capita than anywhere else that counts such things.

Mayor Riccardo Gullo is calling on anyone who can help to pitch in to solve the issue.

Gullo told CNN Thursday that he does not care whether you know anything about raising goats, as long as you have a boat to get them off the island—once you’ve caught them. (CNN)

Why Tallest Building Withstood Hurricane!

The Taipei 101 building in Taiwan's capital was the world's tallest skyscraper from 2004 to 2007.

How did Taiwan’s tallest building survive the largest earthquake in 25 years?

Taipei 101 (name of the building) has a 660-tonne pendulum that transfers energy into giant shock absorbers.

They help the 1,670ft high skyscraper to sway rather than topple.

Photo above shows the moment 508-metre high Taipei 101 building sways as earthquake hits Taiwan.

The force of the quake was such that it could be felt in Shanghai, around 500 miles to the north of the epicentre, as per intitial reports. (CNN)

I Wish Our Dog Could Talk!

Is my dog sick? Try this at-home exam | The Humane Society of the United States

She has the great quality of persistency.

If she could talk, she would have a great career in sales.

She just won’t take “no” for an answer.

I could make a lot of money off that dog.

She’s also very opinionated.

Sometimes she looks at me as if to say, “You’re not too smart, are you?”

If she had her way, I would toss the rubber ball all day.

When I want to stop she has the look, “don’t be a quitter!”

Well, maybe I’m glad she doesn’t say everything on her mind.

No Days Off For Hospitals!

Team-based Care: Getting Doctors and Nurses to Work Together

We were in a hospital yesterday on Easter morning.

Emergency was fully staffed as usual.

A CTscan was ordered and the results were back so decisions could be made.

Who are these people who keep these hospitals running day and night?

I know you might say, “They make good money. That’s who they are.”

Sorry, there’s more to it than money.

They see fellow human beings in their worst moment.

And yet they put on a smile and come to the assistance of a complete stranger.

That’s who they are.

Even on Easter!
