Cell Phones More Good Than Bad?

Let’s first admit they won’t ever go away.

They’re here to stay in some form.

I think one of the biggest “GOODS” is the ability to reach someone quickly in an emergency,

One of the “BADS” is the constant scammers.

Another GOOD is the magic of Facetime.

Another BAD is that we seem to pay more and more for the privilege.

Another GOOD is that they are portable and enable you to talk, text, send email and access apps of your choosing.

Another BAD if you lose a phone is the loss of passwords and other private content.

Another GOOD is that it is easier to keep in touch with loved ones.

HOWEVER, ARE WE ADDICTED?

Any Patriots Left?

About the U.S. House of Representatives

Money needed to fund two wars & the U.S. Gov’t and no takers!

We now have the unenviable position of having children running our country.

They play a daily game of tallying political points instead of serving America!

Meanwhile, our adversaries are watching a great country that’s not so great.

It’s really demoralizing to watch our leaders who won’t lead.

Does our gov’t reflect our society?

In a 1838 speech, Abraham Lincoln said “At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected?” “If it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us!”

Barnes & Noble Allows Decision Making At Each Store!

Customers browse books near the front entrance of a Barnes & Noble store.

Yes, the bookstore giant, with over 600 locations, is permitting complete freedom in decorating decisions at each store.

There will be no oversight by senior management nor professional decorators.

This new approach is being implemented in dozens of its stores.

HURRAY!!!

I hope this is the beginning of a new corporate trend.

I believe there are many good ideas in the minds of the people at the bottom.

They know their customers.

After all, they are the ones who must live with the decisions made by someone in some distant ivory tower.

I also believe Barnes & Noble will enjoy stronger EMPLOYEE RETENTION with this idea.

Each employee will feel that someone above cares about me and my thoughts!!!!!

I hope the giant company you work for will jump on the bandwagon!

How To Climb In Your Company!

Your First 7 Climbing Partners

Are you ambitious?

Most people aren’t

Playing it safe, however, won’t necessarily help you get ahead.

Let’s talk about the things you can do to climb in an organization.

Always arrive early for work. (This tells the boss you love working here.)

Offer suggestions on how to make customers happier. (Happy customers come back often.)

Help fellow employees from time to time. (Employers reward team building.)

Perform your job well. ( Employers tend to promote reliable employees.)

Do more than is expected of you. (Employers notice employees who care about the company.)

Do You Like You?

The Magic of Mirrors: How to Block Negative Energy - Keen Articles

It’s an important question.

Why?

Because you have to live with yourself 24/7.

Let’s talk about mistakes you’ve made in the past.

We all have them.

Do you allow them to weigh you down?

Think about it for a minute.

You only live in one world.

It’s called THE PRESENT.

You can’t live in the past or the future.

Are there past mistakes that can be corrected?

Correct them!

If there are past mistakes that can’t be corrected, do something good for another person.

Doing good things for others is the key to building self-esteem.

Go for it!

If not today, when?

Solar Car Goes 621 Miles!

Stella Terra, here on a roadtrip through Marocco, is the world's first off-road solar-powered car. Developed by the student team Solar Team Eindhoven, Stella Terra is the first solar car that is robust and efficient enough to go off the beaten path. With this, the students take another step towards a sustainable future, inspiring both society and the current market to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future.

This khaki-green SUV uses solar panels on its sloping roof to charge its electric battery.

This means it can drive long distances powered entirely by the sun.

Built by a team of students at Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE), “the world’s first off-road solar-powered vehicle” could help connect remote areas.

It could go “where roads are less developed and energy grids are not as reliable,”

The car could assist with emergency aid and deliveries, says Thieme Bosman, events manager for the team.

They tested the vehicle in Morocco earlier this month, driving more than 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) between the country’s northern coast and the Sahara Desert in the south. (CNN)

This technology could enable all cars to be CLIMATE FRIENDLY!

What a giant leap forward!

Trees

What would we do without trees?

In addition to their overwhelming beauty, they provide us with oxygen.

Yes, trees go through a process called photosynthesis.

Their leaves pull in carbon dioxide and water.

Using the energy of the sun, the leaves create sugar to feed the tree.

As a byproduct, oxygen is created and released by the tree.

Thank God for trees.

Every breath we take is a gift from our friends, the trees!

Keep Hope Alive!

The International Hope Project Inc - Once a person has received salvation, is that enough?

The Reverend Jesse Jackson always told us, “Keep Hope Alive!”

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high

And don’t be afraid of the dark

At the end of a storm, there’s a golden sky

And the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain

For your dreams be lost and blown

Walk on, walk on with HOPE in your heart

And you’ll never walk alone, you’ll never walk alone.

From Whale Hunting To Whale Watching!

The Azores is now one of the best places on the planet for whale watching.

A visit to the Azores is synonymous with incredible sightings of whales and dolphins.

The remote Portuguese archipelago, consisting of nine volcanic islands about 900 miles west of Lisbon, lies in the North Atlantic Ocean.

Which puts it on the migration route of several whale species.

And from March to June, it’s whale migration season.

Lucky tourists may even catch a glimpse of behemoths like the blue whale and the fin whale.

They are the two largest animals on the planet. (CNN)

This world of ours is beautiful if left alone!
