Husbands and Wives Must Adapt to Marital Change

Two people marry and learn about each other’s lifestyles, preferences and quirks.

And it is this differentness that makes marriage work!

Throughout the marriage they both learn the other’s valuable perspectives.

When a child comes along, a lot can change.

Her life, of necessity, must put the needs of her child ahead of her own.

This requires a huge shift in her life style.

In today’s society, most wives must also remain employed.

Husbands, on the other hand, must also shift their lives to accomodate a child.

They may stay employed but have additional tasks with an additional family member.

Both must be aware of the changes required and have patience in this new atmosphere.

If these changes can be discussed openly, even starting before the birth, it might smooth the way when the big day comes.
