He feels A.I. will bring a “great leap forward for society.”
Will A.I. disrupt the labor market? Absolutely!
This transition, like other big moments in history will entail new challenges.
It is especially true as A.I. separates labor from productivity in magnitudes not seen before.
But, the U.S. has a long track record of creating new jobs from disruption.
Two examples are the electrification of the 1900s to the digital revolution of the 1990s.
Mr. Solomon doesn’t see any reason this dynamic will stop now! (NYT)
